App Access Rights
The Subscriptions app requires permission to send notifications in order to notify you of upcoming subscriptions that you have entered into the app.
If you have enabled App Lock and want to unlock the app with Face ID or Touch ID, you need to allow the app access to Face ID or Touch ID.
If you want to use calendar integration, you need to allow the app full access to your calendar.
You can deny the mentioned accesses at any time in the system settings of your device.
Handling of Your Data
All subscriptions and settings are stored locally on your device. If you use iCloud Sync, subscriptions are additionally stored in iCloud. The Subscriptions app uses CloudKit to sync your data. CloudKit is a service provided by Apple. Your data is stored in a private iCloud database that the developer of the Subscriptions app does not have access to. You can turn off iCloud Sync and delete iCloud data in the app settings. For more information and terms about iCloud, visit the Apple website.
If you want to delete all data of the Subscriptions app, you should do the following:
- Delete the Subscriptions app from all your devices.
- Open the Settings app, go to [your name] > iCloud > Storage > Subscriptions > Delete Data from iCloud and delete all data. If Subscriptions is not available under Storage, there is no iCloud data.
App Analytics
The Subscriptions app does not collect any analytical data. However, Apple itself may collect crash data and statistics that are made available to developers. You can choose not to share them. To do so, you should do the following: Open the Settings app, go to Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements, and turn off Share With App Developers. Read more on Apple's website.
